Question by Gavin: Could someone who was Atheist for 2 years, and then became Catholic still go to Heaven?
He used to be a full-on Atheist, but after a drug overdose he almost died and then found God. He’s now a devout Catholic and goes to church every Sunday and volunteers at the church’s outreach program.
Do you think he could still go to Heaven?

Question by : When someone leaves a church, do they get denounced by the people at their old church?
Does the preacher mention the name of the apostate with scorn dripping from his words in a sermon? Do they make an effigy of the apostate and symbolically burn it? The motive for this kind of behavior would be to prevent other people still in the church from following the person who left. Some religions take this to extremes, like Muslims for example, who take everything to extremes. They cut the heads off apostates! I don’t think Christians are this crazy, although they were during the Middle Ages, but do they just settle for a thorough denouncing of apostates?

At least your dad is smart enough to have fun. Too bad he believes in fantasy though.
