   The Catholic Church usually focuses its attention on Mary as the Ark of the Covenant. They don’t give much attention to the Old Testament Ark of the Covenant.

   No, there is a legend that the Menorah of the 2nd temple is there but there is no proof of that or of the Ark

   I am Catholic and I believe that the true Church subsists in the Catholic Church of the Papal Communion and that it is the most complete Christian church

   but i also believe that the means of grace are present in other Christian communities of faith and that God produces saints in them for they are in real if partial communion with the Catholic Church, the Church Christ founded

   The Ethiopian Orthodox Church claims to have the Ark

   Mary of Nazareth is the Ark of the New Covenant for she carried Jesus

   I think it likely that the Ark was either carried off by an Egyptian sack of the temple
   or to Babylon when the ist temle was burned
   or that it was burned in that temple
   but that it is lost now

   There is a story in Maccabees that jeremiah hid it
   or that it was hidden in the caverns under the Temple

   Templar Legends say that they foundit when they occupied the Dome of the Rock

   We Catholics do not need the Old Ark because Jeus is the fulfillment in His New Covenant
   We have the Ark in every church in the Tabernacle of jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the Eucharist

   Mary is the Ark in Heaven for she was assumed by Christ there

   READ REVELATION 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

   THAT VERSE SAYS THE ARK IS IN HEAVEN.
   HOW DID IT GET THERE? DON’T KNOW. LAST SAW AROUND 600 BC..
   BUT APPARENTLY IT IS THERE.. BECAUSE HEBREWS 9:15-25 SAYS ON RESURRECTION MORNING JESUS ASCENDED TO HEAVEN AND DEPOSITED HIS SHED BLOOD ON IT..

   HEBREWS 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

   9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

   9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

   9:18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

   9:19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

   9:20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

   9:21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

   9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

   9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

   9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

   9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

   EPHESIANS 4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
