my fiance and i just moved here with our two children and close to nothing in our home. we have been trying to get help but it seems like we keep running into deadends. any help that we can get will be really appreciated. thank you for your time.

I found out recently that the Salvation Army has a program to help with household items (ie. furniture, kitchen items, etc.) here in California.
I was told they help people which have recently been incarcerated and have nothing when they get out. Since it is not a program I was in need of I didn’t ask if the same program was available for others in need.
Hopefully it is something that will work for you and your family.
