How would gregorian chants enhanced the religious services of the medieval church?

Question by Friday: How would gregorian chants enhanced the religious services of the medieval church?
I have search all over the internet and nothing comes up. Please help I have to write a paper and I just need some ideas to start the writing process.

They are simple and repetitive, so maybe it allowed them to really focus on God instead of being distracted by loud noises of other types of music. Gregorian chant was meant to worship not entertain.

Question by Mary S: I would like to find the article on jean mckinon dies babysitting on 2350 inglis, 3 small children?
She was babysitting me at the age of 6th grade, my sister and me and my little brother at the time. It should be in the detroit news or the detroit freepress. It was a friday if I remember because we were waiting for her mother to come out of bingo from St, Gabriels church.

How would you decorate a desk to look like a control module for a space station?

Computer(s) and screen(s) and keyboard(s) and joystick(s) and software for astronomy or space travel running on them. A video projector or large flat screen TV with computer images might be neat.
Painted white cardboard or foamcore board with a shape other than familiar rectangular. Slant sides, sharp angles (corners that are safe, though) and an overhead console would add to the impression.
A modern pilot’s chair like I. Miller or Saarinen or Eames

You can get space documentaries on DVD about Hubble, space shuttles,

Can you help me with a math problem? How many laps around a building would be a mile?

Question by me: Can you help me with a math problem? How many laps around a building would be a mile?
I live near a big church and I go for walks in the evenings around it.
I walk at a regular pace not too slow and not too fast.

I timed myself and I’m guessing I walk at 2mph.
It takes 22 minutes to walk around the church.

I wanted to know from that information if you can tell me how many laps running, instead of walking, would be 1 mile.
Do you need anymore info?

I appreciate your time.
Thank you.

Each lap is .733 of one mile, so 1.36 laps would be one mile.

Would Republicans feel better about taxes if we gave them a gathering place to give and people will see them?

Question by Growth vs Oil: Would Republicans feel better about taxes if we gave them a gathering place to give and people will see them?
One thing I have noticed is that most conservatives do not like to give unless they are receiving acknowledgment that you gave. Jesus fish in a company ad, flare up at the gas station with your name on it, your Church name on your car etc. They don`t even know they are doing it for self. Why do conservatives give more then Liberals, there is a paper trail when conservatives give.

Best answer:

Answer by El Tecolote
Is this the way you justify the fact that conservatives give more than liberals in charity? You are nothing but a spin-monster and a fvcking apologist, and you can’t even see your own words proving that. I’m done for today; I do consider you guys friends, but you’re pissing me off right now.

Liberals can’t figure out that the poor end spends the rich end’s money all day, through the use of taxes and through the use of charity, and that liberals are the ones giving just so they can get the damn tax write-offs. Conservatives are the ones giving of their TIME, which cannot be taxed. God, you people and your justifications for why the right could ever possibly be on the upper end of something make me sick sometimes.

I’m a tourist. How long realistically would it take to see these sites? Can i see them all in a few hours?

Question by Aza Eggar: I’m a tourist. How long realistically would it take to see these sites? Can i see them all in a few hours?
I’m looking to swing by and take pics next to these historical sites. The only site i may want to go inside is the Independence Hall, but i read that the tour is super short.

So how many hours realistically would it take to see all these sites:

Independence Hall
Liberty Bell
Rocky Steps and Rocky Statue
Ben Franklins Grave (Christs Church)

Best answer:

Answer by Josh Callison
The Independence Hall tour is only half an hour long. In fact, you might be waiting to get in for longer than you’ll actually be there. Two thirds of the building are actually closed to the public, and the rest is just a waiting room with a painting and a recreated court room, nothing spectacular.
Even if you’re dead set on seeing that, you won’t have to hurry to the next thing, because the historic district of Philadelphia is pretty clumped together.

Independence Hall is only five minutes from the Rocky Steps and Statue, the Liberty Bell is only two minutes away from Independence Hall, and Christ’s Church is only three minutes from the Liberty Bell.
