Question by Nigerian King: If a church uses a Pastor from another country, How do they address that on tax forms?
We are currently in search for a Pastor. So in the meantime we used one from another country. We pay for living and give them a salary. How do we disclose that on our tax forms?

If he’s a non-resident alien, you report his wages on Form 1042-S. If he’s a resident alien, you report them on Form W-2 as with any other employee.

What’s the technique the church uses to make people attribute their guilt to skipping church?

Question by Dr. Mankitteh: What’s the technique the church uses to make people attribute their guilt to skipping church?
How do they do it? How do they make people feel so much guilt upon skipping church? What’s the technique they employ to make people associate their innate guilt with church skipping? And to make people return to church with money.

It’s a passive-aggressive thing, I think.

Or just flat out playing on some people’s fears. If they skipped church they obviously need to bring money to give to the church next time they do attend. I think they get a better seat in their afterlife if they donate more.

How can I find an Episcopal Church that still uses the book of Common Prayer and the traditional Hymnal?

Question by Signilda: How can I find an Episcopal Church that still uses the book of Common Prayer and the traditional Hymnal?
It seems every Episcopal Church I try has contemporary with Christian rock music, big screen prayer readings with modern text and children running amock in the aisles. I just don’t connect spiritually to this mess, and my kids are so distracted by all the sideshows that they are not learning how to pray and concentrate on the Bible readings.

What happened???

My friend said the same thing. She cannot seem to find a church without all of the “contemporary” stuff.

Just call around to the various churches and ask if they have a traditional worship service, and what time does it start.

Try small ones. They tend to be more traditional.
