"On September 11, 2001, as the 1st Tower collapsed people took refuge from the massive debris cloud, inside the church. Debris from the tower collapsing knocked over a giant sycamore tree that had stood for nearly a century in the churchyard of St. Paul’s Chapel, which is part of Trinity Church’s parish and is located several blocks north of Trinity Church. Sculptor Steve Tobin used its roots as the base for a bronze sculpture that stands next to the Trinity Church."

Church furniture
This building is dated to 1893/4 and has been C(S) listed by Historic Scotland since1977 to include what is described as the ‘decorative iron bracket’ in front of the radial fanlight at the entrance. This appears to have been a decorative bracket used to support a gas light. The Baptist Church sign and horizontal metal bar from which the sign is supported appear to be later additions. The remains of a gas jet is visible on the original bracket just above the bracket that is supporting the sign.

This is Worcester Foregate Street Station on Foregate Street in Worcester.

It is near an Odeon cinema, a Gala Casino and the Museum & Art Gallery.

From the platforms.

Views from the platform. I didn’t go around those areas.

A couple of churches.

On the left is Armstrongs Tailors & Cutfitters.

On the right is Worcester Baptist Church. Grade II listed.

Baptist Church. Dated 1863; with later additions and alterations.
Built by Pritchett and Son of Darlington. Coursed sandstone with
sandstone ashlar quoins and architraves, ashlar spire, slate
roof.

The spire at the back is probably of the Church of St Mary Magdelene, Worcester.

Church, made redundant 1978, now converted for residential use.
1876-77 by Frederick W. Preedy. Builders Messrs Collins and
Cullis of Tewkesbury. Tower and spire added in 1889; architect Mr
J S Alder of London; builder Mr A Estcourt of Gloucester. Squared
sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings of Bath stone; plain clay
tile roof. Bellcote to E-end of main ridge. Spire is ashlar with
five contrasting colour bands. Middle Pointed style.
