I support their beliefs and would like to become a member, in the name of my Lord. How do I find a local chapter, or do I simply join online and rally, much like the KKK?

In many countries in Europe, the Church is in some way regulated by the state, or vice versa (Sweden, the king must be protestant, England, Lords Spiritual, Germany, a church tax). Do you think that there is more cynicism towards the church in these countries because they are part of the government?

NOTE: I concede that in the US the church and state are not entirely separate. I am looking for opinions about the church in other countries compared to here. Thank you in advance!

Yes, the government thinks only about itself, if it controls the church it only wants to use it towards furthering it’s own agenda and not Gods.

In mexico, all citizens must go to a court to get a marriage certificate to make the wedding legal. Otherwise, it’s just a ceremony in the church. Does United States Customs and Immigration consider just the church wedding a legal marriage?

You must be 100% legally married in Mexico to be legally married in the United States. If that means going to court then that’s what you have to do if you want it to count.
