How can I turn a staircase into a walk in whale?

Question by 32mifam: How can I turn a staircase into a walk in whale?
I’m head of an activity in my church and i’m trying to get some ideas on how to turn a stair case into whale kids can walk through. You know like jonah and the whale. Any ideas?

Is it an open staircase? I’d start out by getting one of those arches that you use for wedding altars, or in a garden, know the kind I mean? Using chicken wire, foam (the sort used for insulating a house and/or upholstering furniture) and paper mache, sculpt the top of the head, using that arch as a base for the jaw. You might be able to use fabric or vinyl tarps, instead of the paper mache, too.

I popped into the Christ Church in Troy, NY and met Janet. She was so kind and was glad to let me walk around for a few minutes and take a few shots. The Church is incredible and I am anxious to learn more about the history of it. I have a few more shots to process so more to come.

Be our fan!! I’m already yours 😉
