I’m thinking about having my wedding in the Church of the Good Shepherd, New Zealands oldest church. How many people can fit in there?

By the looks of things, I wouldn’t say you could get any more than about 100 people in there at a push, 50 comfortably.

The Agapemonite Church in Stamford Hill, Grade I listed I think, which received a fleeting oblique mention from the late Ken Campbell in this week’s Pick of the Week – Capering with Ken Campbell – on UK BBC Radio 4 – listen again 1 hour long . 2 minutes 44 seconds in.

Designed by Joseph Morris & Sons of Reading (Pevsner) 1892-5 for the Rev Henry James Prine as the Ark of the Covenant for his sect. Stained glass designed by Walter Crane. Around the base of the spire are visible two of the four bronze symbols of the Evangelists.
