Question by .: What is the official position of the Disciples of Christ church (Christian Churches) on homosexuality?
Please don’t give links to sites that tell of ‘affirming’ churches. I have looked at most of them, and am still unclear. Google isn’t helping either.
Wow. The only person who seems to have a clue is Little Pot of Crazy. Also, Little Pot of Crazy is not even a Christian, but has given a much more Christian (and intelligent) answer than some who answered.
That makes the Christians on Yahoo answers tonight look not-so-Christian. Sad.

Their policy is tied to the word of God, it’s a sin.

Question by WOODSEY NILES: What is the Episcopal Church’s “official” position on the question of whether or not to bless same sex unions?
I know that there are a great many people within the Episcopal Church who support the blessing of same sex marriage as well as full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and transgendered persons. And I also know there are a large number of people who hold the opposite view.
But what is the Church’s official position on these matters?
Answer by Dean J
It depends on the Country. You will get some Anglican/Episcopalian churches in countries like Uganda who are dead against it and threaten to severe from the Anglican communion should the rest of the Communion vote in favour. Places like America are more open to the idea. The Church of England, being the mother church is in an awkward position. They risk opposition from the liberals and opposition from the Conservatives. The general view is that it is not “ideal” but it is fine if you are in a commited relationship. You will find that they aren’t as strict as catholics.
