BNP Jesus advert makes church see red

The far-right British National Party has used a picture of Jesus in a billboard campaign in advance of the European elections claiming it is a victim of persecution. The party said it was considering a national campaign, with a spokesman confirming “one or two” billboards were already up. The poster quotes from John 15:20 ” If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you” and asks the question “What would Jesus do?” The disclosure comes after the Church of England voted last month to ban clergy and some lay members from joining the BNP. The BNP has also been condemned on several occasions by senior figures in the Church. A spokesman for the BNP said: “We are putting them up there in response to the way the Church has attacked us. We believe we are being persecuted and turned into martyrs.” The latest attack on the BNP came from the Rt Rev Nigel McCulloch, Bishop of Manchester, who accused the party last week of preaching a message of “division and hatred” and urged people not to vote for them in the European elections on June 4. Spokesmen for the Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu and for the Church of England refused to comment saying the BNP was mounting a “publicity stunt” designed to give the party the “oxygen of publicity”. Jonathan Bartley, co-director of the Christian think tank Ekklesia, said: “Jesus was completely opposed to bigotry. “He is recorded in the Gospels as challenging those who didn’t welcome foreigners – not as working for their exclusion.”

Seven-Year-Old Utah Boy Makes His Getaway From Church IV

www.chinoblanco.com | http Welcome to your fifteen minutes, Preston Scarbrough. PLAIN CITY, Utah Police in Utah say a 7-year-old boy led officers on a car chase in an effort to avoid going to church. Dispatchers received reports of a child driving recklessly on Sunday morning. Weber County Sheriff’s Capt. Klint Anderson says one witness said the boy drove through a stop sign. Anderson says two deputies caught up with the boy and tried unsuccessfully to stop the Dodge Intrepid in an area about 45 miles north of Salt Lake City. The car reached 40 mph before the boy stopped in a driveway and ran inside a home. Anderson says when the boy’s father later confronted him, the boy said he didn’t want to go to church. The boy is too young to prosecute and no citations were issued, although police did urge the father to make his car keys more inaccessible to children. ——————————- Kid’s a good little driver for a seven-year-old!

Does going every Sunday to Trinity Church to listen unpatriotic and racist things makes you a Christian?

Question by rebecca2008: Does going every Sunday to Trinity Church to listen unpatriotic and racist things makes you a Christian?
Obama says he’s a Christian because he’s a member of Trinity’s Church and went to that church almost every Sunday for 20 years.

2 questions:

1. Can this church of hate really name itself Christian?

2. Can you really know what people think in their heads while in Church? (when I was younger, I used to go to church every Sunday for more than 10 years eventhough I was an atheist; my parents forced me to go)

Bush claims to be a Christian too, but his fruits fall elsewhere.
