Two reviews of the book
“The shortness of these essays makes them effective, accessible and inviting. A real strength of this book is its directness and clarity. I can see this being a valuable resource for many women.” – Dr. Tom Kitts, Chair, English Department, College of Professional Studies, St. John’s University.
ÂIn the midst of a culture that is too often self-absorbed, she offers reflections that connect us to one another. If you enjoy reading essays that have heart and soul, you will not be disappointed with these works by Claudette Spence. They will definitely sharpen your sense of who you are and what you can do in life. – Stephen Hall, ordained minister of 25 years and pastor of Lockport United Church of Christ.
Excerpts from the book
ÂThe gift of experiencing each other while creating memorable moments brings joy to the soul.Â
ÂThe truth is I have been sad about many things in my life, but growing older is not one of them.Â
ÂMaybe one of the things that is important here is that regardless of gender or sexual orientation, most of us really want to be treated special by someone who is close to us that we may call lover, friend, mate or family member.Â
