Question by rose203: What effects did Queen Elizabeths Common Book of Prayer have on the Common People?
Looking for the history of the church, website links would really be preferred. Thanks for your time.
Answer by Naz F To give you a start, many of the peoples of England strongly objected to it. At this time, England was ethncially diverse; including many people who rarely spoke English. The Picts and Scots (who spoke Gaelic), some Welsh, and the peoples of Kent and Cornwall strongly objected to being forced to use English in their church services (Latin was more comprehensible in comparison, as they had become accustomed to it over time), and so there were several revolts over this.
Question by ktizzle2008: What kind of effects does church music have on people?
I’m writing a 10 page paper on the effects of christian music. More specifically, why it affects people so much. I’m on page 7 and I’m completely stuck. I’ve written about the bridge that christian music makes between a person and God, faith, and disputes on contemporary christian music. There might be a few little things but I really need to finish this soon and I’m stuck. Anyone have any ideas for me? If you have any sources I can access now, that would be MUUCHHH appreciated
