Question by rose203: What effects did Queen Elizabeths Common Book of Prayer have on the Common People?
Looking for the history of the church, website links would really be preferred. Thanks for your time.

To give you a start, many of the peoples of England strongly objected to it. At this time, England was ethncially diverse; including many people who rarely spoke English. The Picts and Scots (who spoke Gaelic), some Welsh, and the peoples of Kent and Cornwall strongly objected to being forced to use English in their church services (Latin was more comprehensible in comparison, as they had become accustomed to it over time), and so there were several revolts over this.
