Jefferson Davis had made several attempts to become Roman Catholic. The Pope Pius IX had many correspondences with Jefferson Davis, many as the Confederate President. Confederates have made Biblical references in the defense of slavery. Did the Roman Catholic Church have anything to do with the death of President Lincoln?

There is absolutely no relation what so ever, especially since Boothe wrote his ideas and theories in his journal and listed his motives….(none of which were religious)
