Churchill, St John The Baptist’, May 2011.wmv

Unfortunately the church was not open so the visit was limited because the inside of the church provides such a rich history. So it will have to join the list of churches which will need revisits by arrangement or on Sundays. This church visit forms part of my ‘Somerset Churches Project’.I always make note of several graves for reference and it is a bonus if a family grave appears for friends, family or others, especially if it helps with Family Tree research. Grave are vital records, unique with very personal sentiments, writtten in stone in memory of a unique individual. Many graves around the country are systemmatically being destroyed due to health & saftely excuses or cleaning- up processes–once gone these graves fade into grassy mounds unless someone makes a note of the inscription. Hence the videos and photos.
