Ceremony chair decorations?

Question by Jessum: Ceremony chair decorations?
We are getting married in a church, but instead of using pews, they have chairs. We’re trying to think of something to have a the end of the pews instead of real flowers. I would some how like to incoroprate old love letters we have, but I cant think of any way this could be possible.

Regards
End of rows, sorry

You said that you’re not having pews but then you said, “We’re trying to think of something to have a the end of the pews instead of real flowers.” Do you mean on the back of the chairs or at the end of the row of chairs?

I’ve seen people use large candle holders and the end of the row of chairs but I think you will need to ask the church about this since it’s a fire hazard and will take up some of the room for the aisle. See this link: http://candles.lovetoknow.com/Floor_Standing_Candle_Holders

What kind of decor do you do for an indoor wedding ceremony?

Question by Amanda: What kind of decor do you do for an indoor wedding ceremony?
—I’m not getting married in a church either, it’s an old church that was turned into a night club.

I want simple but chic not cheap.
So no balloons or anything like that.
—And our wedding colors are dark red and dark purple, and the only flowers we are doing are roses, but I was hoping to not have to buy extra just for the ceremony.

If it’s already a night club, it might have more than enough decoration as it is. If you wish to add more, there’s always fabric – you could drape it around the chairs, or the walls. You could get different sorts of lighting… different colors shining everywhere.

You know you’re in trouble when they bring out chairs for the bride and groom to sit on! Seeing a Catholic wedding with all the strange cultish customs made me feel about as out of place as Indiana Jones watching the volcano cult rip the guy’s heart out and show it to him before he dies. But at least they are consistent: Catholic funerals are just as perplexingly long and strangely (and slightly scarily) ceremonial.

BACKSTORY: Stacy & Louise got married! It was a really nice wedding! We almost had a bad scheduling conflict, as there was a SubGenius devival the same day. But it turns out this wedding was an early wedding! I might normally frown on that, but it really worked out well. We had to leave the reception before everyone else, but not too much before. And we had to change clothes in the parking lot (ahh, to be pantsless at a wedding) prior to driving directly to Baltimore. And I may or may not have been sober when we departed. But then I definitely was. And then, by the time we got to park in Baltimore, I may or may not have been sober again 🙂 It was an interesting drive…

Wedding Ceremony and a Church wedding with a big party?

Question by zlosnica_13: Wedding Ceremony and a Church wedding with a big party?
My husbands cousin just got married, it was a civil wedding, and they are doing a small party afterwards, they are planning a big church wedding next year and a big party. I dont know what to do because I dont see that I should give them money both times since we will attend both, but I dont see what else to give them. I think its not right to do a party after a civil wedding especially when you are telling everyone you are planning a big party next year after a church wedding. What should we get them and what do you think?

Answer by scarlettrhett
Well I agree. One gift for one party.. Your choice which one. But if it was me, I’d give it for the first party. Money is the easiest and usually best option. They may never get around to the second one. And if they do, than as far as all should be concerned, you’re already covered..

What do you think? Answer below!
