What are the church rules for the previously church wed couple if they (same couple) want to get married again?

Question by jabgrey: What are the church rules for the previously church wed couple if they (same couple) want to get married again?
My wife and I are both Filipino Catholics and UAE Residents. We were previously married in St. Mary’s Church, Dubai last 2008.This year, as we go for vacation in the Philippines, we plan to get married again in our home country and have complete traditional Catholic Filipino Wedding to show respect on our elders and family since they were not present in our Wedding in Dubai. I wish to know if our plans has its limitations or if our wish to get married again is possible.

You cannot “get married again”. You can however have a ceremony called “renewal of marriage vows”.

The Uncommon Church: Making The Uncommon, Common Again

The Uncommon Church: Making The Uncommon, Common Again

The Uncommon Church is a book intended to inspire, encourage, and challenge modern day disciples to return to their uncommon roots. Throughout history God has called His people to be different, set apart, and uncommon. Sadly, however, many believers have settled for nothing more than a common faith. (I feel like u need something explaining why a common faith is not enough.) Pete Pawelek and Tiffany McKinley take an honest look at what it will take for God’s church to once again become uncommon. This book reminds all believers of the importance of maintaining communion with the Spirit of God in order to fulfill our unique purpose of proclaiming the Gospel to all creation. It is clear that we serve an uncommon Creator, we are loved by an uncommon Savior, and we are called to be the uncommon church. Don’t settle for less than God desires. Aspire to be uncommon. Focus on the things that matter to God and watch God change the hearts of the world – starting with your own. What others are saying about “The Uncommon Church” “If you are concerned about the next generation, this book holds the direction that the church must go. Common is not working!”—Todd Mitchel AFCC Executive Director “The Uncommon Church is no common book! It challenges the worldview of the “Church” today and presents clear biblical truth to all who dare to examine it. This is a book every believer should read!” — Chris Strick Next Generation Disciples Founder

Revive Us Again – A sermon by Duncan Campbell (Part 1 of 8)

Duncan Campbell playlist www.youtube.com Revive Us Again A sermon on ” revival ” by Duncan Campbell The minister at Barvas, the Reverend James Murray Mackay, had been led to write to Duncan through the prayers of his congregation, and in particular two elderly sisters named Peggy and Christine Smith who had received the God-given assurance that Duncan would be the instrument that God would use to fulfill His purposes on the island. Duncan was quite unaware of these things and he intended to stay in Lewis for just ten days and then take a rest from his mission work. However, despite his tiredness, he immediately recognised the feeling of spiritual expectation amongst the people who had invited him to Barvas, and after the preaching service on the second evening he was there, the congregation lingered outside the church and were joined by others who had not attended the meeting. At that moment, the voice of a young man was heard praying aloud inside the church, and many were moved to join him as a sense of deep conviction came over the crowd. The church was soon filled with people calling upon God for mercy and praising Him for His goodness, and even when they separated in the early hours of the morning, small groups went on praying in various parts of the village. The powerful awakening which swept through Barvas in the following days was not an isolated event, and although Duncan Campbell’s preaching was similarly blessed when services were hastily arranged in villages

Christmas and holiday season, a season to remember:

The Christmas season, the holiday season, or simply the holidays is an annual festive period that surrounds the Christmas holiday and other holidays. It is sometimes synonymous with the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere, and is usually said to occur between late November and early January. It has been found to have a proportionate effect on health, compared to the rest of the year.[citation needed] Its reference and naming by schools and governments has been the subject of controversy in the United States. It incorporates a period of shopping which comprises a peak season for the retail sector (the "Christmas shopping season"), and a period of sales at the end of the season (the "January sales").

The exact definition, name, and celebratory method of the period varies from culture to culture. The Vatican and Roman Catholic adherents celebrate Christmas beginning with Advent between November 27 and December 3 and ending after the Epiphany on January 6. Eastern Orthodox churches observe the Nativity Fast from September 1 through December 24 and the holiday season lasts through January 7th. In medieval pagan cultures, the season began after All Hallow’s Eve and lasted through the Twelfth Night. According to Yanovski et al., in the United States the season "is generally considered to begin with Thanksgiving and end after New Year’s Day". According to Axelrad, the season in the United States encompasses at least Christmas and New Year’s Day, and also includes Saint Nicholas Day. The U.S. Fire Administration defines the "Winter Holiday Season" as the period from December 1 to January 7. According to Chen et al., in China the Christmas and holiday season "is generally considered to begin with the winter solstice and end after the Lantern Festival". Some stores and shopping malls advertise their Christmas merchandise beginning after Halloween or even in late October, alongside Halloween items. In the United Kingdom, Christmas food generally appears on supermarket shelves as early as September.

The precise definition of feasts and festival days that are encompassed by the Christmas and holiday season has become controversial over recent decades. Traditionally, the only holidays included in the "season" were Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day (in some countries), New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Epiphany. In recent times, this definition has begun to expand to include Yule, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Thanksgiving and Black Friday.[10] Due to the phenomenon of Christmas creep and the informal inclusion of American Thanksgiving, the Christmas and holiday season has begun to extend earlier into the year and may even include Halloween.

I was Baptized in a Baptist Church, would I need to be Baptized again since I joined The Church of Christ?

I was just woundering if the Bible said anything about this, And what you feel would be correct thing to do. It’s the Church of Christ, Not the Mormon church!

I wouldn’t think so. They are both New Testament denominations of the same religion who essentially believe in the same thing.
