Sandwich First Baptist Church (1851)

Sandwich First Baptist Church is a small, brick church on Peter Street. Very simple and of modest scale, it is typical of the auditory hall-style church built by Underground Railroad refugee communities in mid-nineteenth century Upper Canada.
Members built the church, using bricks made by hand from local materials. The church was listed as a National Historic Site in 1999.
Here are close-ups and further history of this structure.
