Dr Evans Reid is a master at getting a choir to perform a hymn. During the what a fellowship hour u could hear her voice behind It is Well Even me Close to thee and many others. The 150 plus radio choir on sundays at 9pm was something to be reckoned with.

It’s a “Medly” of a variety of scriptures presented in song, starting w/ “Be Still & Know That I Am God,” then “The Lord Is My Shepard I Shall Not Want,” then “Thy Kingdom Come,” then “And He Shall Reign Forever,” then “King Of Kings,’ etc…

Rev Evans had to be out of his mind during this mighty reunion concert seeing his singers from over the many years of his ministery, I’m sure his feet never touched the ground that day, what a awesome sight that was.

What is the name of this song! And I love this choir!
June 2nd, 2012 at 9:12 pm
I like the way all parts of the choir are used with baritones/bass & sop. Most gospel music nowadays seem 2 lack tht….

That was because when Handel wrote “The Messiah” and the zenith song, The Hallelujah Chorus and it was sung, the king was in total amazement by the arrangement, all he could do was stand there in awe… so that’s how the tradition started.
