Does the Catholic Church maintain a centralized list of all of its members?

Question by Monica V: Does the Catholic Church maintain a centralized list of all of its members?
Is there any record of how many members there are vs. how many attend services week to week?

Do they keep records of when people stop going to Catholic church and join some other type of church?

What is the process of being taken off the roster (other than ex-communication) once added?

Any more info you have about this direct topic is appreciated.

I am not a Catholic – just curious about these things.

How many members? Yes
How many attend? No

Do they keep records of when people stop going to Catholic church and join some other type of church? Not unless the person notifies the Church

What is the process of being taken off the roster (other than ex-communication) once added? Not sure, sorry

Edit: I beg to differ with other posts. The churches report to the Archdioceses the number of registered members. The Archdioceses sends the list to the Vatican. It’s documented
